Wales center Jonathan Davies can return for Wales World Cup week.
The 31-year older was ruled out of the win over France using a recurrence of a knee injury and has been replaced by Ospreys Owen Watkin.
Davies aggravated the problem he endured against Fiji and withdrew just 75 minutes in Oita.
Hopefully with some rest and the perfect rehab, he would be available a week, head coach Warren Gatland said.
Davies had trained with heavy strapping on his left leg but was picked on Friday at the side that was beginning before aggravating the problem on Saturday.
Wales also have a uncertainty with what appeared to be a hamstring problem, over Josh Navidi, that abandoned the France game.
Jonathan wasnt far away from being correct. He simply decided that was best for the team, Gatland said.
I had been worried during the week we would go into the match with just two midfielders carrying tears.
Jonathan pulled from yesterdays captains conduct and we analyzed him this afternoon and he was not 100% but he was not far away.
Hopefully within the following 48 hours so the strategy would be to place himself in contention for the semi-final.
Josh looks like hes done a small hamstring and we dont know how intense that is.
